  Had my first mortgage with rbc and then stupidly moved to cibc because of the lowest interest rate. Worst. Mistake. Ever. They actually compensated us for all of their mistakes and ridiculously bad business practices. Wrote down the wrong account number and weren't withdrawing mortgage payments, then tried to penalize us, even though we had proof of sending the right info through email. This dinged our credit score bad. I don't want to single anyone out, but steer clear of their "mortgage specialist" who is a woman. My gawd. PRO TIP: rbc mortgage specialists get commission, so they work harder for u.

  I have to say that the CIBC Whitehorse is an outstanding branch! I had the privilege of seeing the agent Jennifer Godin today and was very happy with her knowledge and help! Thank You Jennifer! Every agent I have ever had the privilege of dealing with at this branch has always gone over and above to assist anyway they can.

  I had the worst experience with the mortgage department. I bought my first house with RBC. Their mortgage specialists are commissioned so the gonthe extra lie. I will never bank at cibc again.
