  We called to make reservations, we never received any confirmation of our booking straight away. We then called a couple of days later to change dates, we could not get the dates we wanted so ask to cancel. We never received any confirmation of cancellation. On the 19th December our daughter got a call asking if we were still coming, she told the caller that no the reservation had been cancelled. The caller said it had not , but that it would be done today. We got a confirmation saying that it had been done. On 22nd Dec my credit card was charged $565. When I queried this with the hotel, I was e-mailed back saying that IF I could produce proof of this transaction they would consider reimbursement, which of course we could not do as we had never received anything in the first place. When you try and check on the cancellation policy, which I might add was never explained to us either on the phone or in writing there is nothing other than it depends on the date and which room. We did not know which rooms so could not check. They knew this because they asked if which was capitalized we could prove this. When dealing with this hotel I strongly suggest asking for confirmation right way in writing preferably in back and white and that the cancellation policy be explained in writing as well. We gave them a week notice the second time. Would be interested if this has happened to anyone else.

  Talk about perfect location with a great chef located on the inn! Included comes bikes, canoe, kayaks...amazing! The large room is a great get away from kids and would be great for honeymooners. We stayed in the Bayview location which included a kitchen and beautiful view of the lake and sunset. 40 minutes from Whitehorse and you're downtown. If you are wanting a getaway with good food, reserve today!!! It was amazing...I stayed with 3 kids under 9 and my wife.

  I loved the stay here and we will likely stay again. The one thing that I thought was annoying was the $15 price tag on a continental breakfast. Seriously, just add it into the room rate already and don't make me feel like I'm getting ripped off for breakfast.
